DevOps Engineer.
remote/hybrid, with access to our paphos & athens offices
Are you passionate about cloud infrastructure, reliability, automation, and building systems that scale? Flexi is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure behind our iGaming platform.
About the role.
As a DevOps Engineer at Flexi, you will help own the reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of our cloud platform.
Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud and Kubernetes, and we are looking for someone who enjoys improving systems rather than simply maintaining them.
You will work closely with engineering, QA, and product teams while having meaningful influence over architecture, automation, observability, reliability, and infrastructure costs.
Key responsibilities.
- Design, improve, and own CI/CD pipelines with a focus on reliable and low-risk deployments
- Build and maintain highly available infrastructure on Google Cloud
- Manage cloud costs through right-sizing, autoscaling, committed-use planning, and infrastructure analysis
- Evaluate and introduce GCP-native and third-party services based on product requirements
- Own Kubernetes operations, including workloads, node pools, resource allocation, and autoscaling
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform
- Define and maintain SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and incident-response practices
- Collaborate with development teams on architecture and infrastructure decisions
- Build and maintain production-grade Docker configurations
- Work with QA to maintain reliable test and staging environments
Qualifications.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar infrastructure role
- Strong production experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Strong Kubernetes knowledge, including resource optimization, networking, RBAC, and storage
- Experience with infrastructure cost optimization
- Solid experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling
- Experience with GitOps and CI/CD workflows
- Proficiency with Python and/or Bash for automation
- Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Google Cloud Operations
- Experience designing systems for high availability and graceful failure
- Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and network controls
- Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines or equivalent CI tooling is a plus
- Ability to work independently, make technical decisions, and communicate trade-offs clearly
